Commissary Section Head

JOB DISCRIPTION

The role is to direct, control, plan & organize the daily operations of the Commissary activities, ensuring all functions are carried out to company policy and procedures. Offer efficient & effective commissary handling services as per the requirements of the Federal Aviation and aircraft manufacturer requirements. Administration. Develop the Commissary team Standard Operating Procedures and enhance the performance of the team to add more services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a busy 'air side' technical cleaning operation.
• Establishes a culture that promotes safety through daily observation, shift briefings/safety meetings, routine performance audits, on job training, and documented safety procedures.
• Administrate inflight cabin service cleaning section operational require documentation and ensure the cabin service activities data are updated on daily bases.
• Monitor cabin service staff attendance/tardiness and ensure they are complied with department roster schedule timing standards.
• Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations.
• Coordinating between each assigned task to ensure that service meets the needs of the flights to ensure on-time schedules are met.
• Helps and supervise to prepare the cabin for Customer boarding and departure in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Ensure cleaning and servicing of aircraft interiors, including cabin, galleys, and lavatories.
• Monitoring and assisting team’s performance while leading and motivating them.
• Ensure team are familiar with all areas of the operation and aircraft cabin preparing & cleaning standard.
• Monitor and control the Pre-checks are performed on all equipment/vehicles and loading of required chemicals & supplies for the shift.
• Monitor inflight cabin cleaning service is performed as per require standard.
• Assuring the cabin cleaning team have the proper handling of hazardous materials, correct use of uniform, PPE (safety vest, ear plugs, mask/face shield mask/respirator, disposable gloves & coverall) and safety performance actions inside and outside the aircraft.
• Resolving customer/employee complaints and communicate openly with Ramp Operation section head.
• Evaluate and pursue business opportunities to enhance client engagement.
• Maintain flight documents and records in accordance with the company requirement.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aviation and air transport sectors across airport operations
• Diploma Degree
• Previous experience managing operations within an international airport.
• Significant experience managing a 24/7 service contract.
• The ability to lead, organize and communicate with a multi-cultural workforce.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Very structured mindset and ability to handle complexity.
• Well versed with all relevant statutory requirements and Health & Safety Regulations (H&S).
• Proactive, energetic and can work under pressure.
• Good Computer skills of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and communication tools
