JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Development Engineer to lead our Maintenance Program and Reliability team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CAR M requirements, optimizing Aircraft Maintenance Programs (AMP), and enhancing reliability and technical publications to support Royal Jet's commitment to excellence in aviation.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee the development, control, and implementation of the Maintenance Program (AMP), including regular amendments and optimizations.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and industry peers to obtain technical data, review requirements, and recommend AMP changes through regular meetings.
- Gather and analyze data to enhance current AMP processes, recommending improvements for increased efficiency and safety.
- Analyze the impact of modifications and configuration changes, initiating timely updates to the AMP.
- Maintain close collaboration with the Defect Review Engineer, identifying the need for adjustments in Maintenance Programs.
- Monitor results of System, CPCP, and Structural Inspections, adjusting the AMP as needed.
- Coordinate with GCAA through the Compliance Monitoring Department for AMP approval and submit detailed changes for indirect approval.
- Prepare Bridging Packages following each AMP revision, coordinating timely implementation of changes with the Planning department.
- Manage the Base Maintenance Work Package, ensuring timely inclusion of all tasks within the next due period.
- Establish policies and procedures for technical publications, ensuring revision cycles for Maintenance Data.
- Implement processes and procedures for compliance with UAE GCAA CAR M requirements within the maintenance program, reliability, and technical publications.
- Conduct Maintenance Program Effectiveness Review and Reliability Review Board meetings, ensuring follow-up on identified issues.
- Develop a comprehensive and cost-effective Reliability Control Program following GCAA standards.
- Analyze aircraft defects and technical delays, identifying trends, recommending corrective actions, and implementing improvements.
- Compile monthly reliability reports, analyzing data for trends, and collaborating with fleet management for recommendations and corrective actions.
- Attend daily performance meetings, actively resolving issues related to Royal Jet's AMP and Reliability.
- Calculate aircraft reliability performance parameters such as MTBF and MTBUR using reliability databases.
- Stay informed about developments, evolving technologies, and changes to reliability programs and documentation, initiating appropriate actions after validation.
- Foster constructive and respectful team relations, promoting a positive reporting culture by reporting safety concerns.
- Enforce procedures stipulated in the Safety Management System and actively participate in workplace safety programs.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years' experience, including 4 years in Aircraft Maintenance Planning and 4 years in Maintenance Program and Reliability.
- OR ICAO Type 2 License with 4 years of experience in Maintenance Program and Reliability.
- OR Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering with 12 years of experience in CAMO, including 4 years in Maintenance Program and Reliability.
- Formal training in Maintenance Program and Reliability Management is preferable.
- Completed at least one General familiarization on Boeing 737 or Bombardier Global.
- Strong knowledge of CAR M Subpart C and related regulations pertaining to Maintenance Program and Reliability.
- Understanding of MSG 3 Aviation Maintenance Approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in Trax and CAMP is preferable.
- Experience in performing comprehensive FRACAS, FMEA, RCA analyses on failed components is preferable.
