Job Description
Job Purpose:
In this role, you will plan and execute the flight crew requirements for all flights and ensures that this is done in accordance with all relevant regulations and safety requirements. The role is the primary source of scheduling execution for the flight crews as well as the primary provider of daily crewing information to scheduling management concerning crew usage. The role combines the need for pilot training with the normal operational schedule and interfaces with the training department as well as the flight rostering department.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Sales Department, Operations Department, Services and Cabin Crew, and Technical Department for daily flight crew assignment; respond to Sales inquiries within a short turnaround time for request of changes to a confirmed schedule.
- Check that all departing flights have sufficient crew assigned, update AIMS with correct crew data and run the FRM system.
- Update the actual timings of all the mandatory training and office duties of crew members / Fleet Managers.
- Precise flight and ground duty notification briefing to be sent to all crew by means of SMS (mobile short messaging service) and e-mails.
- Follow-up and cross-checking of SMS are to be done during the changeover of shift.
- Contact crew for any delays or changes to their schedules; also updates crew roster with a correct indicator such as sick leaves, not-contactable, stand-by, etc.
- Attend all incoming phone calls from the crew and forward their request to the concerned departments.
- Updates crew contact, visa details, and uploads in AIMS.
- Contact ground Operations for crew entry requirements to destinations (visa) and correct documentation of crew list (general declaration).Reassignment of the crew to any flight or ground duty when crew members report sick, fatigue and aircraft delays.
- Update record in AIMS of all crew members daily duty, crew rest reduction, extended days off and flight duty limit extension.
- Maintaining crew documentation details in AIMS, i.e. passport, visas, contact etc.
- Monitoring crew movement to ensure no violations of flight duty limitations as laid down in the operations manual.
- Arrange Air / Surface transport and update AIMS accordingly to position crew as and when required.
Skills Description
- Minimum three (3) years of industry experience, specifically in crew scheduling and planning.
- Knowledge of AIMS application, implementation and systems at work is preferable.
- Educated to a Bachelor’s Degree is desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of duty time limitations – CAP 371.
- Full knowledge of international operations requirements and restrictions, including UAE GCAA regulatory and Company regulatory requirements.
- Have an overview and awareness of crew scheduling and product delivery and intervene to ensure crew schedules with problem-solving whenever necessary.
