Senior Load Planning Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The employee is responsible for communication with Flight Crews, third party and ATC to dispatch safe flights in efficient and timely manners in accordance with the regulations and company Operation Manual.

• Develop and embed a culture of customer focus and performance management to ensure high quality and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Ensure regular and effective communication between other Business Unit(s).
• Ensure that the organisation’s approach to data protection, security and retention complies with best practice and that policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
• To develop, continuously improve and implement the organisations approach to risk management.
• To maintain a positive, appropriate and professional relationship with all staff, partners and members
• Continuously demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in managing allocated resources for his/her department
• Ensure that Airport Assessment Review (AAR) checks are carried out on receipt of every flight reservation; Verify and approve AAR for new airport or with specific restrictions
• Coordination with proper channels (i.e. DFO and OCCSM ;) for approval of new airports
• Maintain current records of activities in restricted and danger areas and discrepancies in navigation facilities over routes
• Prepare Operational Flight Plans (including ETOPS) and ensure that  OFP is signed before Crew brief and/or sending to outstations
• Daily check of NOTAMS based on weekly/monthly reports through the Company System. Updating the Sales Support of any significant issue
• Ensure that RTOW charts are up-to-date. RTOW should be included with the flight package sent to crew
• Flight Following. Update the company system with “day of operations” (i.e. Flight log; delay; etc.)
• Ensure that Shift Handover log has been fully read and understood of daily, weekly or monthly tasks

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in an airline
• Knowledge on operational compliance in all regulatory environments.
• Minimum High School Certificate, preferably a University Degree.
• Familiarize with present weather forecast and conditions.
• Awareness of current information concerning significant field conditions, route restrictions, navigational aids outage and changes in operational procedures
• Familiar with aircraft specifications/limitations and aircraft configuration
• Knowledge of updating and maintaining operations manuals and navigational charts
• Knowledge of updating Aircraft Records when receiving revisions.
• Computer literate (AIMS, JETPLAN)
• Knowledge on operational compliance in all regulatory environments.
